What Is the Fraternal Order of Police Associates?
The Fraternal Order of Police Associates is a civilian affiliate of the Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.). While F.O.P. membership is restricted to active duty and retired police officers on a State, County and Municipal levels, the Fraternal Order of Police Associates is open to civilians. Both the F.O.P. and the F.O.P.A. are part of a National organization with State branches and Local lodges. Also, civilian law enforcement employees who join the F.O.P.A. are eligible for the same labor and legal plan protections provided to police officers.

Who Are the F.O.P.A. Members?
Our members are responsible and respectable civilian law enforcement employees, businessmen, professional people and citizens from ail walks of life. Members who devote a portion of their time, monies and efforts toward assisting the various law enforcement agencies of our community and state.

What Are the F.O.P.A. Aims?
To establish better understanding between the public and law enforcement agencies of our community and state through public relations, legislative and educational efforts; furthermore, to eradicate the public apathy prevalent throughout our country and to assist our police and law enforcement employees at all levels in every way possible. Applicants for F.O.P. A. membership are subject to investigation by and approval of the parent F.O.P. and F.O.P. A. lodge membership.

Why Should I Become a Member of the F.O.P. A.?
If you believe in: (1) A better community, state and country. (2) Vibrant, active and good law enforcement by capable and proficiently trained police officers. (3) Better protection for your family, home and business... then you should become a member. The F.O.P.A. and F.O.P. lodges meet once a month. The initiation fee and yearly dues are moderate. In many instances corporations, companies and businesses pay the initiation fee and dues for their employees; however, there are others who pay individually. This is a non-partisan organization, without regard to race, creed, color or religious beliefs. Join Now

Objects and Purposes
This organization is formed for the purpose of increasing our understanding of the rights, duties and problems of police officers and civilian law enforcement employees; of fostering public respect for them; of strengthening our comradeship with them; of bettering the conditions under which they serve society; of promoting their interests and welfare in every conceivable way; and of being ever ready to render such lawful assistance as may be required. We also belong to the Grand National Lodge which is made up of members from the various State and subordinate lodges from across the nation, over.100,000 strong
